Xavier Sewell, a 23-year-old man from North Providence, was charged Tuesday with sex trafficking of a minor and conspiracy.
Police said Sewell was involved in prostituting a 17-year-old Middletown girl. The teen had run away from home in May. A few days later, her mother saw her daughter’s photo on a website that police say advertises for prostitution.
